The Best YOU

I'm back to try another couple of challenges. I really like have a starting point; it makes the creating process much quicker. This one's going to my fab papercrafting friend, Britten.

My card also fits the color challenge at The Play Date Cafe. These colors were so fun to play with and I was STOKED to see that I had pattern paper that worked with it.

3 Challenges in 1 Card

My goal this year is to enter my work into more challenges and even to some magazine calls. I'm hitting 3 challenges with this one card.
I've always wanted to enter Dawn McVey's color challenges, so I'm excited to finally have done it! I got the sketch from Get Sketchy! This was the first time I ever worked from a sketch. I liked it. The hard part is done for you. And finally, the polka dots fit the challenge over at Crazy 4 Challenges. Creating for a challenge is a nice change. You have a purpose and a starting point, so it makes creating a little easier.

So here it is. The CS is from a DCWV pack. The brown polka dots paper is from Stampin' Up! I fussy-cut the cake from DCWV's new Doodlin' Around stack. And the sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink.

Monogrammed Candy Jar

I am digging this glass etching cream my friend Britten told me about last year. It's a little pricey, but use your Michaels coupon... and it lasts for quite a few projects.

I just used my Cricut to cut a frame from Storybook on adhesive vinyl. Place the negative of the image where you want on your glass item, then goop it up with a generous amount of the etching cream. After 5 minutes, rinse it off. Peel away your vinyl. Next, I cut out the O using Jasmine and repeated the previous steps. Voila! A cheap and QUICK custom gift.
